Anthony Van Troost, born in Ostend, Belgium in 1969, is a designer-maker with a strong background in furniture making and interior architecture. After completing his training as a furniture maker at the Technical Institute in Ostend, he furthered his studies in interior architecture at the Sint-Lucas Institute in Ghent, where he developed a particular interest in furniture design.

Throughout his career, Van Troost has actively participated in numerous exhibitions both domestically and internationally, showcasing his work in countries such as the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Slovenia, and Germany. In 1993, he co-founded the designer collective 'Fragmenten' with a group of friends, organizing exhibitions to showcase their collective creations.

Van Troost has also worked as an interior architect and maker in his hometown of Ostend. His career took him to Italy between 2004 and 2008, where he briefly worked in a shipyard specializing in luxury yachts.

In 2017, Van Troost, inspired by his wife Sophie, founded S and More, a company and label representing Sophie ANthony Design and signaling an anticipation of more to come. The name "Sand" also pays homage to the beach of Ostend, reflecting the designer's connection to his hometown.

Today, Anthony Van Troost focuses primarily on designing furniture, objects and interiors, creating unique pieces or producing small editions, all crafted by hand in his own studio. Na het voltooien van zijn opleiding tot meubelmaker aan het Technisch Instituut in Oostende, vervolgde hij zijn studies interieurarchitectuur aan het Sint-Lucas Instituut in Gent, waar hij een bijzondere interesse ontwikkelde voor meubeldesign.

Gedurende zijn carrière heeft Van Troost actief deelgenomen aan tal van tentoonstellingen in binnen- en buitenland, waarbij zijn werk werd tentoongesteld in landen als Nederland, Luxemburg, Frankrijk, Slovenië en Duitsland. In 1993 richtte hij samen met een groep vrienden het ontwerperscollectief 'Fragmenten' op, dat tentoonstellingen organiseerde om hun collectieve creaties te tonen.

Van Troost heeft ook als interieurarchitect en maker gewerkt in zijn geboortestad Oostende. Zijn carrière bracht hem tussen 2004 en 2008 naar Italië, waar hij korte tijd werkte op een scheepswerf die gespecialiseerd was in luxe jachten.

In 2017 richtte Van Troost, geïnspireerd door zijn vrouw Sophie, S and More op, een bedrijf en label dat Sophie ANthony Design vertegenwoordigt en een signaal is van de verwachting dat er nog meer zullen volgen. De naam "Sand" is ook een eerbetoon aan het strand van Oostende en weerspiegelt de band van de ontwerper met zijn geboortestad.
